Force Pro – Frequently Asked Questions

What is simunition?

A simunition round is a low speed projectile (350–500 fps) that is manufactured to be fired from standard caliber handguns and rifles. This round loads into standard handgun and rifle magazines, and can be fired from mildly modified firearms that allow the user to manipulate the the firearms controls as if it were standard ammunition being fired, the main differences being lower recoil and effective range.

It is a non-lethal round but can cause serious injury if protective eye and face equipment as well as full clothing coverage is not utilized.

It fires a hollow plastic bullet shaped projectile filled with a colored, usually orange, marking paint similar to paint balls. These projectiles are loaded into standard brass casings that are caliber specific.

This ammunition allows force on force training similar to paintball but allows the use of industry standard tools (handguns, ammunition pouches, magazines) to allow as life like scenario application as possible.

If I am hit with a simunition round will it hurt?

Yes.  However we will give you appropriate head, eye, and body protection during ForcePro

Where can I stay if I am from out of town?

TBD. We are working on getting confirmation from local businesses.

I don’t have any experience in tactics or firearms can I still attend this class?

Yes, we designed ForcePro with the intent to give even the average person the ability to handle firearms and conduct tactics in a safe but hyper realistic training environment.  Our world class instructors are from the elite law enforcement and military squads with years of experience as instructors.

What kind of physical condition should I be in?

You will need to be able to comfortably stand for long periods of time, squat down, kneel down, climbing several flights of stairs.  That is a good base line for physical condition as the class will be all out doors and you will be asked to run, take cover, and carry firearms and other related equipment.

What kind of training scenarios will students participate it?

ForcePro has created team based force on force scenarios based on the experiences of FBI Hostage Rescue Team instructors, 82nd Airborne Division, Army 10th Mountain Division,  and various other military and law enforcement organizations.   The scenarios will challenge participants and consume the majority of the second day of training.
