Louis Aguirre: “ Keanu’s Point Break-in! Hello everybody welcome to The Insider I’m Louis Aguirre.”
Thea Andrews: “And I’m Thea Andrews. Plus we have Gwyneth on the hot seat again and Rosie’s got a new big bagging feud over Frozen.”
Louis Aguirre: “Now back to Keanu, the actor just the latest victim of another scary Hollywood home intrusion. As he put his real life Neo skills to the test”
Keanu Reeves: “ I lead a very quiet, normal, kind of really boring… disaster.”
Louis Aguirre: “But Keanu Reeves’ private life got a huge jolt when his Hollywood Hills home had an unwelcome and unstable visitor. According to police, in the early morning hours of September 12, The Matrix star found a woman in her 40s reportedly sitting in his home library. After Reeves called 911 Police arrived and took the intruder into custody where she’s being held for a mental evaluation. Keanu lives in the uber exclusive Hollywood Hills neighborhood coincidentally on the same street as Leo DiCaprio. Here’s his breathtaking view featured in the 1995 thriller Body Language starring Tom Berenger. Keanu may have felt so safe in his upscale hood that he reportedly did not set his security alarm.
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure clip: “No way!”
Draken Security CEO Jaime Salanga: “A lot of times, just like anybody else, will be careless and they won’t lock their doors or they won’t set their alarm before they go to sleep. So that gives anybody with any kind of opportunity or intent to break into the residence.
(Speed movie clip)
Louis Aguirre: “Just three months ago Keanu’s Speed co-star Sandra Bullock had her own Hollywood home intrusion coming face to face with her intruder who creepily claimed he was her husband.
Los Angeles Superior Court footage: “You have the right to a speedy preliminary hearing”
Louis Aguirre: “The case is still ongoing. Ted Kennedy Jr, Miley Cyrus, Brad Pitt, Paris Hilton and Madonna. They’ve all joined the startling list of the rich and famous victims.
Draken Security CEO Jaime Salanga: Different measures you can use would be to go ahead and produce disinformation through a publicist or through the internet to say that you’re going to be in one place but you’re really not or that you live one place but you really don’t.”
Video footage: “Is there anything that you could find?”
Louis Aguirre: “And besides books in his library, Keanu revealed one surprising piece of property that may have been inside his home,”
Keanu Reeves: “I guess it would be typewriters, cos I have like five typewriters.”
Louis Aguirre: “But we’re seeing more and more of these celebrity break ins and I think the game changer here is social media. A lot of stars are more accessible, more than ever to their fans because they’re constantly interacting with them on Twitter or Facebook or Instagram, and the filter is gone. I mean, these fans, especially those who have some emotional problems they’re dealing with (right) they think nothing of just showing up at their favorite star’s home and coming in for an impromptu visit.”
Thea Andrews: “Well they’ve seen all those pictures of their life. Not to mention the fact that it’s shockingly easy given that the town is crawling with those little tour buses that drive you’re right up the front door of a star’s house for $39. It’s a little scary, actually. Michael Yeoh. What do you think?
Michael Yo: Home invasion is a very serious thing and I’m just glad nobody was hurt. That’s what I’m happy about. But I do have to admit, and I know it sounds cheesy, but I wanted to be one of those home tour guides. It sounds fun! Yeah, it sounds a lot of fun. And until I was hanging out with my good friend Enrique Iglesias , and then he told me I’m dropping. I’m dropping a watch out. I’m dropping it but he said it sounded really really creepy. So that’s right. Thank you so much. And that’s where my dream died. Now we got to move on…”
